Something to look forward to

We are very happy that Mr. Simon Whalley will be composing a piece especially for the event. This piece has been comissioned by the Abingdon Musical Society and will be performed by the Abingdon School Orchestra at the beginning of the program on March 23rd.

Simon Whalley is a composer based in Oxford, England. He has a wide portfolio of compositions including film and theatre work, choral and vocal, orchestral, sacred and secular pieces, and has much experience in writing ‘occasional’ music that works specifically for a set time and place. His works are performed across the globe from Washington DC to Moscow, as well as in continental Europe and, of course, at home in England.
